The procession bearing the Thanka Anki (Sacred Golden Attire) will kick-off to Sabarimala Temple from Sri Parthasarathy Temple at Aranmula, Pathanamthitta District on December 23 morning. An Ayyappa idol at the Parthasarathy Temple will be adorned with the sacred attire and for the devotees have Darshan from 4.30 a.m. to 6.50 a.m. on December 23. The procession will kick-off from Aranmula Temple only after the Melshanti (Chief Priest) performs the Aarathi (Worship by waving of lamps to an idol) at 7 a.m. In the evening the procession will halt at Sri Rakthakanta Swamy Temple at Omalloor, pathanamthitta. On December 24, evening the procession will reach the Muringamangalam Temple near Konni at Pathanamthitta. And it will halt at the Sastha Temple at Perinadu, near ranni, on December 25. On December 26 afternoon the procession will reach Pampa. From there it will be carrying by Ayyappa Seva Sanghom volunteers in a wooden box upto Saramkuthi on the trekking path. At Saramkuthi the sacred attire will be handed over to Thiruvithamcore Devaswom Board authorities. Lord Ayyappa the presiding deity will be adorned with the Thanka Anki prior to the Deeparadhana at 6.30 p.m.
